Deployment of
the latest information technology is now an essential component of the
most effective medical provision and to progress biomedical science.
Medical informatics underpins all aspects of optimal healthcare
provision for patients while bioinformatics plays a crucial role in
biomedical research. Graduates of the study programme "Medical- and
Bioinformatics" are qualified to develop and use software which helps
among other things to identify the genetic causes of illness, to develop
new drugs and to model biological processes to improve medical
interventions.
Note for applicants: the main language of
instruction is German, although some modules may be offered in English
and English language classes are part of the curriculum. |
