Mobile communications have become the touchstone activity driving the most important and dynamic economic sectors worldwide over the last few years. It is a global business that thrives on innovation and for which our students are thoroughly trained on our Mobile Computing (MC) degree programme. In-depth technical knowledge in one or more specialist areas equips our students with the pro-active qualities that underpin leadership/ management positions, and can lead to highflying careers. There is hardly an area in which Mobile Computing graduates won’t be able tothrive be it conceptualisation of communications systems, development of mobile phone applications and interactive technologies, the design of a smart home environment or implementation of new mobile services. You will be working in a highly dynamic field with excellent career prospects. Among potential employers keen to hire our graduates are not only mobile communication firms but also multinational corporations, small and middle-sized enterprises and many highly innovative start-up ventures in the IT sector.

The Mobile Computing Master‘s degree builds on the Bachelor’s programme of the same name and continues the tried-and-tested combination of teaching software development, communications technologies and telecommunication engineering. All relevant areas of mobile computing are covered.
The degree allows specialisation in several of the following areas: >> Mobile Communication >> Ubiquitous Computing >> Mobile Infotainment >> Mobile Software Techniques >> Automotive Computing >> Mobile Games >> Ambient Assisted Living/Mobile Health >> Smart Energy >> Logistics In your chosen focus areas you attend a specific number of core courses and a variable number of specialist modules. Additional interdisciplinary elective courses and seminars are also available; these vary from semester to semester.
Zugangs- voraussetzungen
General university entrance qualification, preparatory course for
university acceptance or study preparatory programme at the University
of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Sound knowledge of German, plus interest in IT and technology, interdisciplinary thinking, ability to abstract and team spirit.
